These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the JoinMyRound website and platform ("Service"), operated by JoinMyRound LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By registering for an account, posting content, or otherwise accessing the Service, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By using the Service you represent that you are of legal age and that the information you provide during registration is accurate and complete.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@joinmyround.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
JoinMyRound has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. By using the Service, you agree that you will not post, transmit, share, or otherwise make available any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, sexually explicit, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable, and that you will not engage in any abusive behavior toward other users.
Specifically, you agree not to use the Service to:
Users may flag objectionable content or block abusive users at any time using the in-app reporting and blocking tools. JoinMyRound reviews every report within 24 hours and will remove the offending content and eject the responsible user from the platform when a violation is confirmed. We reserve the right to remove any content and terminate any account that violates these guidelines, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
Automated content filtering. Every user-generated text submission — including direct messages, group chat messages, profile bios, and round descriptions — is automatically scanned at the moment of submission against a server-side keyword filter covering hate speech, slurs, explicit threats of violence, and sexually explicit content. Submissions that match a blocked term are rejected before they are persisted or delivered to any other user, and the submitting user is shown an in-app error referencing this Section. This filter operates independently of, and in addition to, the user-facing flag and block tools and our staff moderation review.
To maintain a safe and trustworthy community, JoinMyRound and its authorized staff may also review user-generated content, including private messages and group chat conversations, under the following circumstances:
By using the messaging and group chat features of the Service, you acknowledge and consent that message content is processed by the automated content filter described above and stored on JoinMyRound servers, and may be reviewed by authorized staff for the purposes described above. This access is logged and limited to personnel with a legitimate need. We do not routinely monitor private communications outside of automated keyword filtering and report-driven review.
JoinMyRound is a platform for connecting golfers. We do not operate golf courses, arrange transportation, or control the conditions under which golf is played. You are solely responsible for your conduct on the golf course and for confirming tee time availability and booking directly with the course.
By participating in tee times arranged through the platform you acknowledge that golf involves inherent physical risks and you assume full responsibility for your participation. We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from golf activities arranged through the platform.
JoinMyRound does not process, collect, or store any payment card or bank account information, and is not a payment processor. When rounds involve cost-sharing or green fee reimbursement, any financial transactions between users are conducted entirely outside the platform via third-party services such as Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle.
JoinMyRound is not a party to any such transactions, has no visibility into them, and accepts no liability for payment disputes, failed transfers, errors, or fraud arising from off-platform financial exchanges. Each third-party payment service is subject to its own terms of service and privacy policy, which govern your use of that service.
Users are solely responsible for ensuring that any payments made or received comply with applicable law.
You retain ownership of any content you post (photos, text, tee times, group descriptions). By posting content you grant JoinMyRound a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote that content in connection with operating and marketing the Service. You represent that you have the right to post any content you submit and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.
The Service integrates with or references third-party services including Google (Sign-In, reCAPTCHA, Firebase), Apple (Sign in with Apple, Apple Push Notification service), OpenStreetMap, and others. Your use of those features is also subject to the respective third party's terms and policies. JoinMyRound is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party service.
References to third-party brand names, logos, or trademarks (including Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, Apple, and Google) are used solely for identification purposes. JoinMyRound is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these companies. All third-party trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
All content, design, graphics, logos, and software comprising the Service (excluding user-submitted content) are the property of JoinMyRound LLC and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written permission.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JOINMYROUND LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED $100.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JoinMyRound LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey.
